Songscapes pair bands with public land areas to create new music and new audiences for protected landscapes.
Conner Youngblood's "Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge" is inspired by one of the world's most important bird habitats. The Refuge is part of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's 500+ National Wildlife Refuges.

River Whyless created "Hold Me To Ya" as part of Sustain Music and Nature's Songscape program. This Songscape was held at Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in southwest Wyoming. The refuge protects a vast sagebrush landscape, and the wildlife that depend on it, like the Greater sage-grouse.
